Re:
Bus Transportation procedures
Parents,
Holland ISD has always treated each
student as if they were our own and will continue to provide the safest
possible transportation for your child(ren) in the
future. We have some concerns in certain areas that we would like to address. We
would like to explain some procedures that we will
have in place as of January 2007.
Transportation by bus is a privilege that
each school district offers to any student that lives more than 2 miles from
their campus or lives in a hazardous area. A hazardous area exists if there is
a reason for unsafe passage to school, such as railroad tracks.
If changes need to be made to a students
normal after school arrangements, please call the campus office before
Holland ISD feels that a student in First
grade or younger needs to have a parent home when we arrive or we will bring
the student back to school for the parent to pickup at school. We will need to
have easy verification in determining if someone is home. Please have your child(ren) understand normal after school procedures. The
student can be picked up at
We will try to keep a consistent drop and
pick up schedule but from time to time the routes will vary. Please allow 10
minutes for us to be earlier than the scheduled time. We will not return a
student back to school, due to a parent not being home, unless we are within 10
minutes of normal delivery.
Holland ISD will continue to err on the
side of safety when we feel a situation is not safe for any child. Please help
any age child understand emergency procedures and emergency phone number in
case unforeseen events occur.
We have contact information in the office,
if you have a new or better contact number please contact the office as soon as
possible at 657-2525.

you for your support,
